Why Tulsi for 2020 ?

Why Tulsi ?

Hi everyone. I am Abhijit Kulkarni, an Indian who stayed in the US for several years. So why Tulsi for 2020? Because she is the best presidential or prime ministerial candidate in my lifetime. At first, I knew Tulsi as the Congresswoman who resigned from the DNC Vice Chair position to support Bernie Sanders in 2016 against Hillary Clinton, as the first Hindu Congresswoman, a veteran and an avid surfer. The move to willingly give up power, to go up against the Clinton machine had already shown me that she had immense courage. Since the time she announced her candidacy, I have listened to her talk, looked up her positions and checked out her record. I began realizing that Tulsi was much more and better than what I initially thought - that she has by far the best foreign policy out of any candidates running , has an absolutely amazing domestic policy which can be argued to be the best and genuinely cares about people.

She displays a depth of understanding and nuance about topics that is rarely seen. She also has  the humility to say she has to research if she doesn’t know much about a given topic and doesn’t try to bluff. Her willingness to improve and actually evolve on many things in the positive direction is another impressive aspect. She listens to people, but doesn’t get swayed by the blowing winds. She’ll change/evolve only if she feels if it is the right thing to do.

Now why do I say she has by far the best foreign policy of any candidates running ?
Because she has the courage to stand up to the war machine that exists in America - military industrial complex, the foreign policy establishment, the supportive mainstream media and very importantly the ability to consistently cut through the bullsh*t narratives manufactured to keep or lead US into wars or unnecessary interventions. So looking at all of this, I stand with Tulsi. I really hope America elects her in 2020 - not just for its own sake, but also for the sake of the whole world.
