In August of 2017, Cenk Uygur struck a deal for $20 million in funding, partly from big time Clinton backer Jeffrey Katzenberg.
(Katzenberg donated almost $1,000,000 to Hillary Clinton and related PACs.)
But it wasn’t the first time he had done so. Three years earlier, Uygur received a $4 million investment from former Republican Governor of Louisiana Buddy Roemer.
How could a conservative be funding a progressive network? It didn’t appear to change the message however, and TYT continued to rage against the machine. What largely went unnoticed at the time is that another member was added to the TYT board: Kenan Turnacioglu, a limited partner at venture capitalist firm Pointstate Capital.
Interestingly enough, Turnacioglu’s boss — Pointstate’s chairman — donated $36,000 to Clinton in 2016, $25,000 to then-Speaker Richard Boehner, and even $2,700 to Chris Christie. Think about that. A member of The Young Turks’ board was actively donating to Hillary Clinton during the 2016 Primary, a time when Bernie Sanders needed all the help he could get against a media and party that rigged the game against him. As it turns out, TYT is connected and financed by the very people who they claim to oppose, and it permeates throughout the network.

2. Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian being clients of UTA (neoliberal talent firm):
Darnell Strom and Michael Kives are influential people at the talent firms CAA/UTA. They were the ones who wrote the threatning email to Tulsi when she quit as DNC Vice Chair and endorsed Bernie in the 2016 campaign. The two men in that email are some of the most connected and powerful men in the country, and they have a grudge against Tulsi Gabbard that they have held since the day she stepped down from the DNC.

Being part of CAA/UTA doesn't necessarily mean one smears Tulsi or other anti-war candidates, but there are many in the list of CAA/UTA clients who have done that including Ana and Cenk. The ones who have smeared/behaved badly include Whoopi Goldberg, John Cusack (former member of UTA, now associated with another Clinton friendly firm), Stephen Colbert (who gave Tulsi a terrible interview that she handled with grace), Clint Watts, George Takei, Max Boot.
3. Cenk's denial of Armenian genocide :
Cenk Uygur wrote an article denying Armenian genocide in 1991. He did not rescend his position/article till he came under immense pressure. Here is his retraction , a very tepid recension, if you can call it that. (being generous)

4. Cenk for legalizing beastility in certain cases :

a) Gujarat riots : Modi did not justify the killings in the Gujarat riots. Ana lies about that. Ana does not mention Modi being investigated for several years under a hostile government, led by party opposite to his - Indian National Congress and then being cleared by a neutral Supreme Court
b) the worst part : Calls the Godhra train burning where ~60 Hindu kar sevaks (worshippers) were burnt deliberately to death by Islamist mob as a tragic, accidental fire.
A court convicted 31 Muslims for the incident and the conspiracy for the crime. The conviction was later upheld by the Gujarat High Court.

c) Ana does a insane comparision between changing how an internal state of a country (Kashmir) is administered vs US invading other countries. Its so stupid that a triple faceplam wouldn't be enough.
Also Kashmir was not autonomous earlier, it was semi-autonomous with the Central Government handling defense, communication and foreign policy.
d) Spread the blatant BS propaganda that Modi has been dehumanizing vs Muslims.
Modi government got rid of the terrible instant triple talaq, has given and continues to give millions of scholarships to Muslims, is modernizing+funding Madrassas. These are just measures specifically to help Muslims in India There have been many other steps taken to help people of all religions, including Muslims. It has helped Muslim citizens from Muslim countries like Maldives, Palestine, Pakistan through funding, health measures etc.
Tulsi has been nonpartisan with respect to India - meeting leaders of both Modi's party BJP and the main opposition party - Indian National Congress - in both India and abroad. TYT attempts to smear her by association with Modi.
8. Ana can't read Yang's UBI policy or pretends she can't :
What Yang's website says :
Under the universal basic income, those who are legally disabled would have a choice between collecting SSDI and the $1,000, or collecting SSDI and SSI, whichever is more generous.
i.e choice is between 1000$ or SSI. SSDI is there in both cases
Ana at first says you would have to chose b/w UBI or SSDI+SSI (not reading properly from the website) - thus impacting disabled people negatively.
Then someone posts a screenshot of the text from Yang's website and she again miscontrues it.

The intervention in Libya was based on CIA propaganda - there was no genocide going on there. Gadaffi was taken out for a variety of reasons including his push for an African currency (which would weaken the US dollar), links with election corruption in France.

a) Ana did not show any evidence of the above. She did not say who in the Tulsi camp said she(Ana) could not be there at the TYT interview. Did not say how it was communicated. Surely, if it happened, she would have some proof of it or atleast mentioned who said so.
b) Cenk always conducted the interviews of Presidential candidates alone. So why would the issue of Ana even interviewing Tulsi come up? Anyways Cenk asked the tough questions and Tulsi addressed them properly in the interview.

c) Saying that Tulsi is afraid of Ana Kasparian is downright laughable. Tulsi has conducted interviewers with much better/tougher interviewers on the left (Greenwald, Tracey, Primo Nutmeg, Jordan Chariton of Status Coup etc.), on the right (Tucker, Huckabee etc.), on neoliberal MSM (CNN, MSNBC, ABC etc). In any case, she addressed the questions that Ana had on the interview with Cenk. Ana still keeps pretending Tulsi didn't address those or it didn't matter.

Let us go to something hilarious. Tulsi eviscerated Tim Ryan on foreign policy in the first debate. She was at the very least one of the top 4 performers in that debate (a significant chunk of their own viewers thought she did the best). TYT didn't include in the 4 options for the poll.
